Delete Your Account
You can ask us to delete your Mimi Learn It account and all of your family's data at any time. It's free, and you don't need to give a reason. This page covers the website at mimilearnit.com (also mimiaprende.com) and the Mimi Learn It apps.
How to delete your account
- If you have a paid plan, cancel it first so you aren't charged again: open Account (top right), enter your parent passcode, go to Children > Your plan > Manage subscription, and cancel. If you can't, just say so in your email and we'll cancel it for you.
- Email us from the email address on your account at [email protected] (or [email protected]) with the subject Delete my account. A short note is enough: "Please delete my Mimi Learn It account and all of my children's data."
- We may reply to confirm the request really came from the account owner. We only delete an account when the request comes from its email address, or after we've confirmed it's you.
- We delete everything listed below within 30 days and email you when it's done.
Signed in with Google or Apple? Send the email from that Google or Apple address. If you used Apple's "Hide My Email", say so in your message and we'll help you confirm it's your account.
What we delete
- Your account: your email address, your password (stored only as a scrambled code), any Google or Apple sign-in link, your parent passcode, and your sign-ins.
- Every child's profile: first name, age, birthday month and year, grade, state, picture choice, any photo you added, and the "how to say it" spelling.
- All learning progress: lessons, stars, scores, and the Knowledge Garden.
- Name audio: the clip of Mimi saying your child's name.
- Friends and games: friend connections and leaderboard entries.
- Your contact information: your email and mobile number on our mailing and text lists, and your text-message consent.
Copies in our daily backups are erased automatically within 30 days.
What we keep
- Payment records. If you ever paid, Stripe (our payment company) and we must keep records of charges, such as dates, amounts and receipts, for as long as tax and financial laws require. We never had your card number.
- Anonymous totals. Counts that can't be linked back to you or your child (for example, "how many lessons were finished this month").
Other options
- Remove just one child: Account > Children > the child's card > Remove (tap it twice). This deletes that child and their progress from your account.
- Stop emails or texts only: use the unsubscribe link in any email, or reply STOP to any text.
Removing the app from your phone, clearing your browser data, or using Start over from scratch in Settings only clears that device. It does not delete your account. To delete your account, follow the steps above.
