A learn-to-read app your child will ask to play
Mimi Learn It teaches reading the way kids learn best: one small step at a time, out loud, with a friend. Mimi says each letter and sound, says your child's own name, and turns every lesson into a short game. Toddlers start with sounds and talking; by 1st grade they are reading sentences and stories.

Why it works
Every lesson is about 10 minutes. Questions your child misses come back later until they get them right, so practice goes where it is needed. You pick easy, medium or hard for each quiz.
The lessons follow your state's school standards for reading. In the parent account you see exactly which sounds and words your child knows and which still need practice.
Story Time
When letters turn into words, Story Time gives your child read-along stories starring Mimi and her friends, in English and Spanish, so reading feels like a reward.

Questions parents ask
What age should my child start?
Children can start at age 2 with talking and sounds. Most start the letter lessons around age 3 or 4, and phonics in kindergarten. You set the grade, and you can change it any time.
Does it teach phonics or whole words?
Both, in order: letter sounds and phonics first, then sight words, the common words that are hard to sound out, like the, said and could.
Is there an iPhone or Android app?
Mimi Learn It works today in the web browser on any phone, tablet or computer. Apps for iPhone, iPad and Android are coming soon.
Is it safe for my child?
There are no ads and no chat. Children only play with friends a parent approves with the parent passcode, and only a grown-up can make the account.
Can more than one child use it?
Yes. One family plan covers up to 6 children, each with their own grade, progress and Knowledge Garden.
