Holiday Dress-Up Contest: Official Rules

No purchase is needed for members to enter. Members of Mimi Learn It (any family on a free trial or a paid plan) enter free. Anyone else may enter one contest for a one-time $5.99 payment, which is not a subscription. This is a contest of skill: winners are chosen by judging, not by chance. Void where prohibited.

1. Who runs it

Quality Care Management Group, LLC, which runs Mimi Learn It ("we"), 213 Arrowhead Blvd Ste F1, Jonesboro, GA 30236-1168, USA.

2. Who can enter

A parent or legal guardian, 18 or older, living in the United States or Puerto Rico, enters on behalf of their own child (age 2 through 5th grade). Our employees and their families may not win. One entry per child per contest; a child may change their look as often as they like until the contest closes.

3. The contests and dates

There is a contest for each holiday on the Mimi Learn It calendar (for example Halloween, Thanksgiving, Hanukkah, Christmas, Kwanzaa, New Year's, Lunar New Year, Valentine's Day, St. Patrick's Day, Easter, Cinco de Mayo and the Fourth of July). Each contest opens 21 days before the holiday and closes at 11:59 PM New York time the night before it. Winners are picked on the holiday. The dates of each open contest are shown on the entry page.

4. How to enter

Members: in the app, open My Closet > Contest, dress a Mimi Learn It character with the closet's clothes and costumes, and tap Enter the contest.
Everyone else: go to mimilearnit.com/?contest=1, pick the contest, give the parent's email and the child's first name, pay $5.99 once, then dress a character and send it in.

Entries are made only with the closet's ready-made characters and clothes. No photos, drawings, voices or other material from the child are collected.

5. How winners are judged

Mimi Learn It's team judges every entry on: creativity (40%), fits the holiday (30%) and style: how well the pieces go together (30%). In a tie, the entry sent first wins. The judges' decisions are final.

6. Prizes

1st place: 500 closet credits. 2nd place: 300 closet credits. 3rd place: 150 closet credits.
Christmas contest, 1st place: also 5 months of free Mimi Learn It service and 1,000 more closet credits. For a member, the next charge moves 5 months later. For a non-member, we email a code for 5 free months.
Closet credits are only for clothes in the Mimi Learn It closet; they have no cash value and can't be sold or transferred. Approximate retail value of 5 free months: $29.95 at the current launch price.

7. Character of the Month and showing a child's name

Each month we may pick one entry as the Character of the Month and show it on our home page and in a Mimi Learn It video, only if a parent has said yes (members: Account > Settings > Closet contests; others: the box on the entry form). We show only the child's first name and last initial, never their age, school, town or photo. A parent can take this permission back at any time and we will take the child's name and character down from our website right away and leave them out of new videos. Without permission, a child can still enter and win credits; we just never show them.

8. Privacy

We use the parent's email and the child's first name only to run the contest and contact the parent about it. See our Privacy Policy. We keep entries so families can see their past looks; a parent can ask us to delete them at any time from Contact.

9. Refunds and changes

The $5.99 entry is refundable if you ask before the contest closes. If a contest can't run as planned, we may change or cancel it and will refund paid entries for that contest. We may disqualify entries that break these rules or that are made by someone other than the child's parent or guardian.
